About Utulivu House
Utulivu & Urumwe Houses sit nestled near the mangroves in peaceful Dongo Kundu, a mere fifteen minute walk from the glorious white sandy beaches of Watamu. They are ideal for either a quick beach holiday or a longer stay. The houses each boast two spacious ensuite bedrooms with plenty of cupboard space, an airy indoor living room with a desk, an expansive kitchen, huge outdoor veranda, refreshing plunge pool and secure parking. One room in Utulivu is wheelchair accessible with a wider door and different bathroom layout. Utulivu & Urumwe have plenty of fans but no ac. There is no need to worry about the many power cuts as they are equipped with solar back up power that runs all fans, lights, fridges and select sockets.
There is space to park a car securely in the compound too. The area is very peaceful. Shared between Utulivu & Urumwe houses, a friendly team consisting of a gardener, cleaner and night askari are there to take care of you. A chef can also be hired at your request. This comes at an extra cost of Ksh 2,500 per day payable directly to the chef.
